Pop Idol Finalists: S Club 7 Gig Was Career Highlight

Pop Idol hopefuls Will, Gareth and Darius have described performing in front of 7,000 fans as “incredible”. They supported S Club 7 at the band’s Dublin concert earlier this week.

The three contestants agreed the concert was the highlight of their career so far. “It was incredible,” Darius said. “I really let go on stage as I sang It’s Not Unusual and the crowd seemed to enjoy it. It felt like a dream while I was up there and afterwards I kept saying to myself ‘is this real?’”

S Club 7 danced alongside Will as he sang Night Fever. Gareth performed a version of Wake Me Up Before You Go Go. After the concert S Club 7 joined the contestants for a night on the town.

Will, Gareth and Darius will battle it out for a place in the Pop Idol grand final on ITV tonight at 6.10pm.
