S Club’s Tina Injured

S Club 7′s Tina Barrett has had to pull out of a promotional tour after she was badly injured in a mystery fall.

Best friend Louise Grimer found the “Reach” singer unconscious at the foot of the stairs at her home in the early hours of Sunday, January 7.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital, and found to have concussion, severe bruising and a black eye. Doctors told her that she was “extremely lucky”, and ordered her to miss the group’s promotional tour to Switzerland, which begins yesterday.

Tina says, “I must have been sleepwalking, but I don’t remember anything about it. I’m extremely sore and the bruising is severe. My right eye is getting blacker. “I was really lucky. I’m feeling a bit better, but I’m upset I can’t go with the others.”

A band spokesman says, “We are all baffled by the accident but we’re glad she’s OK.”
