Rachel Won’t Rule Out Reunion
Singer Rachel Stevens has claimed that she would never rule out an S Club 7 reunion.
The ‘Sweet Dreams My LA Ex’ popstar told Sky Showbiz that the group is still in contact and that she’d enjoy learning all the hits again.
Stevens said: “You never know, never say never. It would be good fun doing a rendition of ‘Reach’ or something. We’re in touch every now and then. I haven’t spoken to them in a while, but it’s always nice when we bump into each other at events.”
Explaining her recent absence from the music scene, Stevens argued that the industry has gone too rock and roll for her.
She said: “It’s changed, um, just a bit more rock ‘n’ roll now. Yeah, we do need more pop acts in the mix, bring pop back.”
Movie Career Gets Lift-off but Home’s Best for Rachel
Singer-turned-aspiring actress Rachel Stevens may have fallen in love with Los Angeles but Britain, she says, will always be her favourite place.
The London-born former S Club 7 singer, 29, spends a lot of time in Hollywood but is back in Blighty for the time being.
“London will always be my home,” says Rachel, who has a house in Hampstead. “At the moment I’ve got lots of acting projects lined up. I’ve no intention of giving up on the singing but I’m fired up about working in film at the moment.
“I’d love to do drama but I’m particularly interested in doing a comedy,” she adds.
“I think now that I’ve had my solo career and am nearly 30, people appreciate that I have a more grown-up image.”
