Rachel postpones wedding for Strictly Come Dancing

Former S Club star Rachel Stevens has revealed she’s postponed her wedding to fiance Alex Bourne so she can concentrate on taking part in Strictly Come Dancing.

Alex proposed in June while the couple were holidaying in Italy and the couple were planning to marry later this year but Rachel has realised that it’s not going to happen: “I did think about trying to squeeze in a wedding during the show but there was just no way. It will have to wait until after the show has ended.”

When she does finally walk down the aisle, she’ll be in great shape from all the dancing – and from more horizontal activities: “I get in from training and Alex runs me a nice hot bath with lots of bubbles and scented candles.

“He’s so sweet like that. I’ve been using muscles I never knew I had so he’s been helping me relax with a nice massage.

“I’m so fired up when I get in. There is something very sexy about dancing. It gets you geared up!

“Since I started training Alex and I have been salsa dancing around the house.”

The new series of the celebrity dance-off starts on BBC1 later this month. Rachel is joined on the show by model Jodie Kidd, Lisa Snowdon, former M People star Heather Small and former Eastenders’ Jessie Wallace and Gillian Taylforth.
