Rachel Stevens gets specsy

Rachel Stevens looked sensational as she tried on a series of spectacles.

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant popped into opticians Eye Emporium for a check-up on Saturday.

And the 32-year-old took the opportunity to check out how she’d look in a host of designer label glasses.

The former S Club 7 star visited the opticians with her actor husband Alex Bourne, 32, and their two-month old baby Amelie.

The new mum looked glowing in her white striped top and long back coat as she tried on the different frames.

Rachel’s S Club junior heaven

Former S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens couldn’t hide her joy at being a mum as she took new baby Amelie on a shopping trip.

The singer held her two-month-old, dressed head-to-toe in pink, and cooed at her in Brent Cross Shopping Centre, North London.

But Rachel, 32, who is married to Alex Bourne, revealed this week that it was a shock becoming a parent.

The former Strictly star said: “The whole experience is overwhelming.

“I can’t believe we’re Mummy and Daddy – proper grown-up stuff!”

Primeval: Hannah Spearritt talks series four and her plans for the future

ITV’s hit sci-fi drama, Primeval, is back on our screens for a fourth series after a year-long break.

The show was previously axed over funding problems, but in an exciting move ITV and UKTV teamed up to rescue it.

We caught up with the show’s female star Hannah Spearritt, who plays reptile enthusiast Abby, to find out more about the new series, what she’d like to do next, her favourite TV and what she really thinks about dinosaurs.

How did you feel when you found out Primeval was being brought back?
On a personal level it was great to come back, I was quite shocked. I was aware that they were trying to get the show back on the road, so when the final call came through it wasn’t a massive shock as I kind of knew where they were heading with it. It’s a really good thing and I’m really happy to be back and it’s great to be sat here right now talking about series four.

Rachel Stevens gives birth to baby girl, Amelie

Rachel Stevens has given birth to a baby girl.

The former S Club 7 singer, 32, and her husband Alex Bourne welcomed their new arrival early in the morning on 16th November at London’s exclusive Portland Hospital.

Liz Matthews, Rachel’s publicist, said in a statement: ‘Rachel Stevens and Alex Bourne are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter Amelie.

‘She arrived this morning at 2.05am. Mother and baby are both doing really well.’

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant and Bourne wed in a lavish ceremony in London last summer following their engagement in Italy the year before.

She announced she was pregnant in May – but the couple decided not to find out the sex of the baby.

However in a recent interview Rachel admitted that her family were convinced she was having a baby girl.

‘Neither of us mind what we have but most people think that I’m having a girl, but I really don’t know,’ she said at the time.

Two days after the birth Rachel wrote a message on her Twitter page saying: ‘Thank you all for your lovely messages.. We’re so in love with our new little girl! Lots of love from the three of us! X’

‘Thrilled’ Rachel Stevens and husband Alex Bourne announce they are expecting their first child

She has had her fair share of relationship heartaches over the years.

However, Rachel Stevens is celebrating today after announcing she is pregnant.

The 32-year-old star – who married actor Alex Bourne last August – will welcome her first child into the world in November, her representative has confirmed.

Her spokesperson said: ‘We are delighted to announce that Rachel Stevens and her husband Alex are expecting their first baby later this year.
