McCartney Sings S Club 7 Track
Sir Paul McCartney surprised patients and staff when he turned up to a children's hospital in London and sang an S Club 7 track.
The Beatle legend made an unannounced visit to the Great Ormond Street hospital's Christmas party yesterday.
After speaking to the children he was invited to sing on the karaoke machine and surprised guests with a rendition of the teen group's hit 'Don't Stop Movin'.
A parent that was present during the visit told the Telegraph: "Sir Paul had everyone singing along. The children were thrilled but it was even more of a treat for the parents."

Rachel morphs into animation role
Former S Club singer Rachel Stevens is to be transformed into a nine-inch high plasticine character in a spooky Scots animation.
The singer will star alongside Scots actors Alec Norton and Peter Capaldi in the Glendogie Bogey, a follow-up to the award-winning animated comedy Haunted Hogmanay.
The film, from Edinburgh-based Ko-Lik Films and produced by BBC Scotland, reunites unlikely best pals Jeff Wylie (Capaldi) and Thurston McCondry (Norton) for another series of hilarious supernatural misadventures.
Stevens, 29, provides the voice of Patricia Ravelston - the object of Jeff's affection who causes Thurston to become jealous.
In Glendogie Bogey, the friends go in search of a fearsome monster said to lurk in caves underneath the local golf course. Jeff's plans for a romantic weekend with Patricia are spoiled when she is kidnapped by the gruesome beast.
Stevens said: "I'd never done any kind of animation before. I thought it would be a challenge. The thing I love is how the characters come to life. The first animated character I loved was Morph from Heartbeat."
Filming for the 30-minute stop-frame animation has started in Ko-Lik's Edinburgh studios and the actors have seen clips of their characters. The programme is expected to reach TV screens in spring 2008.

'Primeval' co-stars "inseparable" on set
Primeval stars Hannah Spearritt and Andrew Lee-Potts are so inseparable that they have been christened "Handrew" by the rest of the cast.
The couple moved in together earlier this year after meeting on the set of the ITV1 dinosaur drama.
An insider told the Daily Mirror: "They're inseparable. Even when Andrew does scenes on a skateboard Hannah jumps on it to cuddle between takes."
Spearritt was a member of pop band S Club 7 before landing the role of reptile enthusiast Abby Maitland.

Rachel Won't Rule Out Reunion
Singer Rachel Stevens has claimed that she would never rule out an S Club 7 reunion.
The 'Sweet Dreams My LA Ex' popstar told Sky Showbiz that the group is still in contact and that she'd enjoy learning all the hits again.
Stevens said: "You never know, never say never. It would be good fun doing a rendition of 'Reach' or something. We're in touch every now and then. I haven't spoken to them in a while, but it's always nice when we bump into each other at events."
Explaining her recent absence from the music scene, Stevens argued that the industry has gone too rock and roll for her.
She said: "It's changed, um, just a bit more rock 'n' roll now. Yeah, we do need more pop acts in the mix, bring pop back."

Movie Career Gets Lift-off
but Home's Best for Rachel
Singer-turned-aspiring actress Rachel Stevens may have fallen in love with Los Angeles but Britain, she says, will always be her favourite place.
The London-born former S Club 7 singer, 29, spends a lot of time in Hollywood but is back in Blighty for the time being.
"London will always be my home," says Rachel, who has a house in Hampstead. "At the moment I've got lots of acting projects lined up. I've no intention of giving up on the singing but I'm fired up about working in film at the moment.
"I'd love to do drama but I'm particularly interested in doing a comedy," she adds.
"I think now that I've had my solo career and am nearly 30, people appreciate that I have a more grown-up image."

Sci-fi Shoot Was Roaring Success

Velociraptors were filmed stalking their prey for the season two premiere of Primeval.
The most aggressive creatures usually found in Kingston are a throng of shoppers in the Boxing Day sales or perhaps a hoodie hanging out near Burger King.
But on Saturday night there was an invasion of creatures from an era millions of years ago.
Velociraptors were filmed stalking their prey in John Lewis for the season two premiere of ITV's hit sci-fi show Primeval, which stars former S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt.
The producer Paul Frift said: "There are about 65 or 70 crew here. John Lewis has wonderful architecture for the scenes we are doing. It's family entertainment.
"I have a 10 and an eight year-old and they love it, while I think there's another level for adults as well."
But what scenes? The programme's five million-plus viewers may not be too pleased if we give too much away.
Suffice to say there will be raptors, high-speed chases and the untimely demise of mannequins and crockery - maybe even a few people too.
Of course what viewers see as raptors, makers Impossible Pictures call thin air, blue screens, gas cylinders blowing stuff up and eventually magical CGI.
Impossible Pictures has also shot scenes in the Bentall Centre, town centre and at a cinema complex in Feltham, all of which will be brought together in one rip-roaring on-screen rampage through a leisure centre.
John Lewis will donate its entire £4,000 to £5,000 fee to the Princess Alice Hospice, its chosen charity for the year.
Manager Andy Leyton said: "The money for the hospice is fantastic news for the community, and how often do you get a dinosaur wrecking a John Lewis shop?"

Rachel's New Tattoo?
Rachel Stevens smiled and shows off her tattoo as she walks down Third St in West Hollywood, CA. The S Club 7 singer was asked several times to look back and smile for the camera. She was constantly smiling and when asked about her tattoo she continued to smile. So, is it Henna or is it real?

C4 Slammed Over CBB Row
Ofcom's investigation in to Celebrity Big Brother has found that Channel Four made "serious editorial misjudgements" which were "compounded by a serious failure of its compliance process".
The media watchdog found C4 in breach of the Broadcasting Code on three occasions and has demanded that the channel broadcast an apology three times during the forthcoming series of Big Brother, which starts on 30 May.
Contestants Jade Goody and Jo O'Meara are claiming that Ofcom's ruling vindicates their claims that reports of racism in the CBB house were exaggerated.
A statement from ex-S Club 7 singer Jo O'Meara's agent said: "After reading the transcript released today, it is now clear that as Jo stated from the beginning, she did not intentionally make any racist comments and she apologised profusely if any remarks gave that impression or caused offence whilst in the house.
"Jo has maintained since she left the Big Brother house that she is not racist and she has a good relationship with her Indian cousin and family members."
The statement goes on to claim that much of the footage shown throughout the series did not accurately reflect the events that took place in the house.
It continues: "Jo hopes that everyone has moved on and is getting on with their lives. She was left vulnerable and very ill after coming out of the Big Brother house and now wants be left to live her life away from the public eye and media spotlight. She has no intention of returning to the entertainment industry and does not envisage a future where she will sing again."

Little Lilly - Colour Blind
Hannah's boyfriend, Andrew Lee Potts, has produced an interactive short film called Little Lilly, with Hannah in the lead role.
"Little Lilly is a unique series of short films from Keychain Productions.
This is just the beginning of Lilly's adventures. We want you, the viewers, to tell us what happens to Lilly next. Every month or so we will take the best suggestion e-mailed to us at
keychainproductions@yahoo.co.uk
and make it into the next chapter of Little Lilly’s story. Please remember that Lilly lives her life in short segments, long ones tire her out, and Lilly likes to live life to music rather than dialogue. To this extent please keep all ideas speech free and to no more than a page of typed A4.
All ideas and suggestions are welcome and we look forward to finding out where your tales will take Little Lilly."

Jo's Doggy Day Out
Dogs are man's best friend. They're pretty fond of Jo O'Meara too. And with all that Celeb Big Bro alleged racism mess, Jo has needed all the friendly support she can get over the last few months.
It looks like her dog has really been there for her. So what better way to say thanks than to treat the dog to a game of catch in the park?
Perfect, you'd think, except the pooch in question doesn't quite grasp the meaning of the game, as you'll find out in the gallery.

Rachel's Upper Self
Pop singer Rachel Stevens stunned passengers on a flight to London when she burst into tears and sobbed: "Don't you know who I am?" after being refused an upgrade to first class.
The former S Club 7 singer, 28, argued with staff on board a Virgin Atlantic flight from Los Angeles when she was denied an Upper Class seat. She refused to take her allocated seat until she was ordered to by the most senior member of crew.
Rachel was told she would have to sit in Premium Economy, the area she had purchased a ticket for, when she checked in at the desk. But the North Londoner, who has been trying to forge a career in Hollywood, would not let it go... and took matters into her own hands when she got on the plane.
When Rachel boarded the flight on Wednesday night, she tried to enter the luxurious Upper Class area. An onlooker said: "She hovered by the first-class seating. She said she had been promised an upgrade but could not say who had promised her. Then she delivered the immortal line, "Don't you know who I am?'
"She pleaded with a stewardess to let her sit down and didn't seem to want to let it go."
The attendant refused to let her into the more expensive area and said she did not recognise her.
When Rachel continued to moan, the flight deck manager was called. He told her he did recognise her, but said she would have to stay in the section she had paid for.
The senior cabin crew worker then told her: "Go back to your seat, Miss Stevens." The onlooker added: "It was embarrassing to watch. Rachel's bottom lip started quivering and she burst into tears like a child. Rachel told them repeatedly that she had been promised the upgrade because she had to work on the flight."
When Rachel eventually took her seat, she spent most of the eight-hour flight reading Vogue.
The passenger continued: "Rachel was quite childish. And people noticed that after she said she had to work she just read a fashion magazine. I suppose it is work for her."
Last night Rachel's spokesman confirmed she was on the flight but downplayed her antics. He said: "Rachel was offered an upgrade when she booked her ticket. But when she came to check in they did not have a note on the system.
"After explaining the situation, she boarded the plane and had a lovely flight."

Why Is Jo So Happy?
It looks like Jo O'Meara has put her Celeb Big Brother experience behind her. The former pop star has been spotted out looking like a happy bunny.
She's proof that exercise really does get things going and perk one up. But it's not a sweaty gym for Jo, it's the great outdoors.
The one-time S-Club singer and a pal got their muscles working in a country field - as they performed lunges, stretches and a spot of jogging.
And in doing her fitness regime, Jo showed off her huge tattoo at the bottom of her back.

Hannah Cheated on S Club 7 Lover
Former S Club 7 singer Paul Cattermole has slammed his ex-girlfriend and former bandmate Hannah Spearritt, for allegedly cheating on him with her latest co-star Andrew-Lee Potts.
Cattermole - who dated Spearritt when they were both members of the UK pop group - claims their longterm relationship collapsed after she won the part as zoologist Abby Maitland in British sci-fi TV drama Primeval last year.
He says, "Hannah and I lived together happily until she started working on Primeval. Within days she became secretive and spent all her time in hotels, only coming home every few weeks,"
"Within a couple of months our five-year relationship was over. I knew in my heart she was seeing Andrew. "After being with somebody that length of time you have an amazing gut instinct." "The crunch came when I realised it had been a whole two weeks since we'd seen each other. She obviously didn't want to be with me."
Despite her betrayal, Cattermole holds no grudges against his former love. He adds, "I don't hate Hannah, I wish her happiness. I just feel sad that she couldn't tell me about her and Andrew before publicly announcing it."
Spearritt's spokeswoman refused to address the allegations, saying, "Hannah does not wish to make any comment."

H: I'll be Peacemaker
Celeb Big Brother star Ian H Watkins told last night how he is on a peace mission to reunite TV rivals Shilpa Shetty and Jo O'Meara.
The former Steps singer has invited both to the opening night of his new West End musical Fame – and he is confident both will show. Ian, 30, said: "Shilpa is coming and I am saving a seat for Jo. I really want her to come. It's time everyone put what happened on BB behind them and moved on."
Pop star and actor Ian claimed he had been banging his head against a brick wall trying to get in touch with former S Club star Jo since the BB race row.
She was stunned to learn she had become a hate target over the Shilpa race controversy after being caught on camera mimicking the star's Indian accent. As a result she locked herself away in a hotel and refused to see anyone. She grew so depressed she even made a botched suicide attempt and is now so heavily in debt she is having to sell her £300,000 Essex home.
Ian, who is still pals with the singer, has tried on many occasions to contact her but claims she has failed to return his calls and messages.
He said: "I've sent messages to her through friends but so far nothing. I've now sent word she's invited to the opening night of Fame and it would mean a lot if she came. As far as I'm concerned she's still a mate."

I'll Save You Jo
Sexy Danielle Lloyd has vowed to help troubled pal Jo O'Meara "get her life back". The Celebrity Big Brother mates are meeting this week for a heart-to-heart "counselling" session.
And former S Club 7 singer Jo is preparing to quiz Danielle over her bid to sue BB bosses, because she is also planning to take the producers to court, say sources.
If she follows Dani's lead it means BB could be hit with two legal cases following the explosive race row during this year's scandal-hit show.
Worried Dani, 23, has been talking to her fallen friend to try to support her after hearing that she had been put on suicide watch since leaving the BB house.
She has called and texted Jo, 27, almost every day to help boost her confidence. A source said: "Danielle had her own battle to fight when she came out, but she hated to see the way Jo was suffering. It looks like Jo's now starting to fight back, so the time's right for them to meet up."
One-time chart-topper Jo – who was branded a bully after her comments in the house – reportedly sank into a deep depression, moved into a hotel room because she was too scared to go home, and even became terrified of mirrors.
But last week she made her first public performance since the show in a gala theatre performance of the New Statesman for BBC's Comic Relief.
And she was quick to blame "bad editing" for the BB scenes which turned her from a teen star into a nationwide figure of hate.

Jo puts on brave face
Ex-pop star Jo O'Meara has stepped out in public for the first time since the controversy of the Big Brother race row.
The former S Club 7 singer attended a charity gala show in aid of Comic Relief.
Jo smiled broadly for the paparazzi as she arrived at the New Wimbledon Theatre in London to see Rik Mayall as Alan B'Stard in The New Statesman.
"Comic Relief has always been important to me, it's something I've always done, as a band with S Club, and while solo. It's a nice thing to get involved with," she said.
She claimed that there had been no racist behaviour towards Indian star Shilpa Shetty in the house and that the outrage had been sparked by bad editing.
Hoping to put the experience behind her, she said: "I think it's time for me to move on, and concentrate on getting back to work, and I hope the public will feel the same way."

Rach has eyes for CIBA campaign
Pop singer Rachel Stevens is the face of CIBA Vision's latest Focus Dailies consumer campaign to raise awareness among 16- to 24-year-olds about the benefits of daily disposable contact lenses.
Stevens will feature in a series of lifestyle-led consumer magazine advertorials through March including Elle, Glamour, Bliss, Closer, More, Heat, Now, New! and OK!.
Stevens said: "I've worn Focus Dailies for years. My eyesight isn't 100 per cent and I prefer wearing contact lenses to glasses. They're very comfortable and really convenient for me and my lifestyle."
CIBA said the advertorials are designed to show the all day comfort and convenience that Focus Dailies provide Stevens whether "catching a guy's eye", "jetting from LA to London" or "attending special events". They will also feature a Focus Dailies "money off" first purchase offer and a chance to win lunch with Stevens in London.
Brand manager Mark Halling said: 'We know from our research that nearly half of 16- to 24-year-olds who require vision correction are interested in contact lenses. Rachel Stevens' eyes have that beautiful, natural sparkle that epitomises our 'Smiling eyes' campaign. We are excited to be working with Rachel Stevens to introduce the benefits of Focus Dailies to this group of potential new contact lens wearers'.

Jo Blows Lid on Jade
Jo O'Meara is to pen an explosive book lifting the lid on the Celebrity Big Brother race row. The singer, who has been suicidal after becoming a hate target, is being chased by publishers for the warts-and-all story.
And Jo, 27, could net a whopping £250,000 deal to help her clear her mounting debts and stop her home being repossessed.
A close pal said: "Jo wants to move on with her life and she feels the only way she can put this nightmare behind her is by telling all. So she's got herself a literary agent and she plans a full and frank account of life inside the house and how badly she's been treated since she came out."
The former S Club star plans to tell all about her friendships with Danielle Lloyd, 23, and Jade Goody, 25, and why Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty got up their noses.
Jo will claim that housemates like Jade's mum Jackiey Budden, 48, uttered comments about Shilpa, 31, that were far more offensive than anything she ever said – yet she bore the brunt of abuse from fans.
She will expose how Jade was "tipped off" about the BB race row in hush-hush diary room chats. And she will reveal how footage of infamous Oxo Cube row was edited to make her nervous laughter look as if she was laughing at Shilpa.
She will also disclose the "Witches of Elstree's" taunts and jibes against Shilpa were not racist rants but schoolgirl bully antics that they are now deeply ashamed of.
Jo's book will also give details about the death threats which pushed her to the brink and reveal how she feels abandoned by BB's producers and thinks they have "washed their hands" of her now that the show is over.
Jo's pal said: "She thinks a book will be a good form of therapy to get it all out of her system. Channel 4 probably won't like what she has to say. But they used her like a puppet on the show and now she feels it's time to hit back."
Jo signed for the Channel 4 show because she was in financial trouble after her solo pop career and her dog breeding business had not taken off in the way she had hoped.
